What We Quote
We provide quotes for the full range of explosion-proof cooling solutions:
Bard Wall-Mount Units — Our most common modification. Completely self-contained on the exterior of the building. Starting at $6,700 for inside-only Class 1, Div 2 modification.
Explosion-Proof Mini Splits — The most affordable option available today, starting at $6,700. Requires an indoor evaporator head on a wall or ceiling.
Split Systems — For higher capacity applications or installations where wall penetration isn’t possible. Starting around $9,000.
Pressurization Systems — Declassify your building interior so you can use standard equipment inside. About 20–25% of our customers choose this route because it often saves more than it costs. Systems from $25,000–$50,000.
Custom and Specialty — Redundant N+1 systems, stainless steel enclosures, Division 1 specifications, Group B (hydrogen) applications, and non-standard installations are all quoted individually.
What to Have Ready
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call — that’s what the conversation is for. But if you can answer most of these, we can get you a number faster:
Classification (if known)
- Class (1 or 2)
- Division (1 or 2)
- Group (A, B, C, D for Class 1 / E, F, G for Class 2)
Cooling requirement
- BTU or tonnage needed
- Indoor only, or indoor + outdoor explosion-proofing required
Environment
- Coastal, offshore, or high-humidity location? (affects coating recommendation)
- Any corrosive vapors or chemicals present beyond the classified hazard?
- Stainless steel enclosure required?
Special requirements
- Redundant / N+1 system?
- Space constraints (wall-mount, rooftop, pad mount)?
- Existing unit that needs to be modified vs. starting fresh?
- Pressurization system needed?
What to Expect
Step 1 — Conversation. When you call or email, we’ll ask about your classification, cooling requirements, and installation conditions. This usually takes 10–15 minutes. If you’re not sure about your classification, we can help you work through it.
Step 2 — Quote. We’ll come back with a firm quote within 24–48 hours. The quote includes the unit specification, modification details, and pricing. No surprises.
Step 3 — Order and fabrication. Once you approve, we coordinate fabrication. Lead times vary by unit type and complexity — typically 6–12 weeks for standard modifications, longer for custom work.
Step 4 — Delivery and documentation. Your unit ships with a full documentation package for compliance and audit purposes.
